Finding Her Wings: Kodi’s Journey to a New Beginning

Kodi was referred to the People Hub for support in finding an apprenticeship.

Jess supported Kodi to create a CV and covering letter and worked closely with her to promote wellbeing techniques that helped ease anxieties around new beginnings and change.

Life has thrown many hurdles at Kodi, shaping her into an empathetic, kind and courageous young person whose goal is to give back to her community and those around her. When asked why she wanted to become an Adult Care Worker, Kodi replied, “because I just want to look after people and be there for them if they’re struggling with anything so that they know they can fall back on me.”

After exploring her apprenticeship options, Kodi was introduced to The Nest and has since been accepted to work there for her apprenticeship placement. She will be working Tuesday to Friday and completing her Adult Care Worker Level 2 Apprenticeship with The Focus Training Group.

Everyone involved is thrilled for Kodi’s new career pathway and excited to see her develop and grow into the wings of Chaos.

Reflecting on her journey, Kodi said, “Jess has been there for me in times where I have struggled with my mental health and didn’t know who to turn to. The support of helping me get an apprenticeship has been amazing and I’m very grateful.”
