Daniel was ready for change

He wanted a career that suited his strengths and opened doors to long-term opportunities. That’s when he turned to the People Hub.

With support from our Specialist Partner Pluss, Daniel set his sights on a Forklift Driving Licence – a key step towards a job that matched his skills and ambitions.

Having Autism Spectrum Disorder, he felt that a driving-related or behind-the-scenes role would be the best fit. Pluss and the People Hub helped him enrol with Kernow Training, a provider experienced in supporting learners with disabilities. It was the perfect match.

Daniel thrived: he smashed the course and passed his licence with flying colours, but more than that, the experience boosted his confidence, motivation and belief in his future. Now he’s applying for jobs that feel within reach – jobs that could turn into a fulfilling career.

Looking back on his journey, Daniel said:

“I learned some new things – the trainers that Pluss found were great and really supportive, and thanks to this I passed my forklift licence and the trainer even offered to give me a reference! I am hoping that this will progress me into a job that I will really enjoy, and it will change my life for the better!”
